Help Us Build a New Playground!
As Salem Montessori celebrates 50 years in 2025, we’re dreaming big for our outdoor space. Our current playground hasn’t had a major update in over 20 years! Every donation will help us create a play space that inspires joy, imagination, and adventure for years to come.
As Salem Montessori celebrates 50 years in 2025, we’re dreaming big for our outdoor space. Our current playground hasn’t had a major update in over 20 years—and when we asked the children what they’d love most, their answers were clear: “a hiding place, somewhere to climb, a slide, and a rock wall!”
We’ve designed a beautiful custom CedarWorks play structure that will bring their vision to life and fit our space perfectly. The total cost is about $25,000, which is beyond what tuition alone can cover so we’re inviting families, alumni, and community supporters to join us in making this dream a reality.
Every gift—big or small—will help us create a play space that inspires joy, imagination, and adventure for years to come.
Thank you for being part of this special legacy project!
This is our current play yard, which has served us well for over 20 years. We are thrilled to update this space with a Mud Kitchen and other sensory-enriched ways to explore nature and create beautiful and meaningful messes!
Here is our current play structure setup, which has served us well for over 20 years. It is loved, faded and outgrown. We’re ready to replace these with a beautiful, durable CedarWorks play structure that can welcome all of our students at once, encourage climbing, balancing, and cooperative play.
Please reach Salem Montessori School's Owner and Director, Erin Towers, at salemmontessorischool@yahoo.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Our resources are focused on daily essentials, including teachers, materials, and classrooms. The playground upgrade is a special project beyond our normal budget.
Current and future students, up to 24 at a time, will enjoy a safe, engaging space for outdoor learning and creative exploration. Past students are also always welcome to come and play!
Our goal is to complete the playground by spring 2026.
Sponsors will be acknowledged at the playground site and in our school communications.
Salem Montessori School is a privately owned business and not a nonprofit. Contributions are not tax-deductible. Donations and sponsorships directly support the playground project and provide a lasting benefit to our students and the community.
All funds raised will go directly toward the cost of the CedarWorks play structure, installation, and safety surfacing. We will keep families and sponsors updated on progress as we reach our fundraising milestones.
If we raise more, the extra funds will be used for our addition of an outdoor Mud Kitchen. If we raise less, we will prioritize the most essential components of the playground while continuing to fundraise for the remaining pieces.
Yes. In-kind contributions such as materials, or skilled labor may help reduce costs. We would be happy to discuss partnership ideas.
